I started knitting at 15, photography came later. I have spent my professional life organizing for social change in urban America working for reform, political candidates and associations. I started taking photographs in campaigns focusing on the city of Chicago. I began going to lakes and woods for my relaxation. Nature inspired me to focus on saving the environment for future generations through photos and my travels enhanced this.
I am a member of the North American Nature Photographers Association and am an active member of the Environmental Committee. My major nature work is taken in and around Chicago, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. My portfolio also includes New England, Southeast, Southwest, and Alaska. My favorite subjects are water, trees, reflections, birds, and sunrise and sunset.
